Resting in God's Wisdom!
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5
WALKING WITH GOD

What do we do when things in life are dark, lonely and overwhelming? We ask God to help us and give us wisdom and understanding to navigate. He knows better than we do about what we are going through. We are limited, and we do lack understanding, that is why God tells us to walk with Him and abide in Him; otherwise, this world can swallow us up in torment, misery and anxiousness. The Lord came to save us from our sins and His wrath against sins. Consequently, when He saved us from our sins and paid the price for us, this led us to enter from death to life everlasting, even while here on earth. He tells us He came to give us life abundant, now and forevermore, because He saved us and He is with us no matter what. We have to believe that! Do we believe that?
Daniel answered and said:
Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His.
Daniel 2:21
Life here on earth is not easy with all the darkness, evil and fallenness in us all. The heartbreak, pain, anguish and suffering, the misery. Further, our flesh and the enemy are always at war with us, trying to draw us back into our old habits, sins, and ways. The Lord Jesus has saved us; we have eternal life! Hallelujah!
Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you.
Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore, get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.
Proverbs 4:6-7
However, we still struggle on earth, and the Lord makes us bear it; sanctifies us and grows us through it. We cannot do it without His help, and abiding in Him at all times is what He tells us for us to make it. Without Him, we are lost and will not make it.
What about when sickness, diseases, disability and deformity threaten you? You know whether it is a big, massive threat to us or a small discomfort to our being, the Lord Jesus Christ cares about it all. This too shall pass, and this will not last forever, Hallelujah! The Lord has healed us ultimately, as the Bible tells us, because we have life in Him forever. Amen!
Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
Psalm 56:3
Firstly, Our Heavenly Father is the one who sustains life, and He knows all about it, but He wants us to engage, respond, follow, walk, and acknowledge Him in our lives and in all our ways, as the Bible says, because He wants to fellowship with us and love us forever and likewise for us to love Him back.
Secondly, He wants to grow and sanctify us into Him, be like Him, have a heart after His own, in attitude, behaviour, actions and deeds, not just lip service. God wants our hearts and wills, freely given to align and agree with His heart and will.
We have not because we ask not as God tells us. If we ask anything that is according to His will, He will answer. However, we can also become a bit despondent when God doesn’t answer us the way we think He should. The thing is, He is always answering us and talking to us, but are we listening? Or only waiting for the specific thing we have asked, but we have no ears to hear what He is teaching and telling us through it, because God knows what is best for us, and He cares about our souls and our spiritual growth more than we can understand and appreciate. It’s like when you tell your kids why you care about certain things for them to obey and do for their well-being, which they cannot understand and appreciate, at that moment, but it is for their benefit and goodness, which later as they grow they may appreciate.
The various trials and hardships we go through are not in vain and nothing is wasted God is not only aware of them but allows them and is in control over that suffering, but also these various trials have a purpose; it is not in vain, and God tells us so in His Word.
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given him.
James 1:2-5
I have heard it said many times that God will either answer us “Yes”, “No”, or “Not yet.” God always answers us when we seek Him genuinely and desperately. In our distress, He hears us and helps us. The Bible says so.
.., that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowedge.
Colossians 2:2-3
How good and amazing it is to know that we can rest in God’s wisdom, we can rest in Him because He is a good, loving, compassionate, fearfully awesome, merciful and long-suffering God, who loved us so much that He took on flesh to suffer for us, to taste death - to save us on the Cross, wow what a Saviour!
Dear ones, let us encourage ourselves and each other in the goodness of God and His everlasting love that endures forever.
Whether we are currently going through hard times now or in the future, it’s inevitably going to happen because the Lord did not promise us a perfect life here on this fallen earth, however this is what He has promised us and commanded us:
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
John 16:33
Wow, how exciting! - this is God Almighty telling us to be of good cheer!!!
We have everlasting life in Jesus Christ/ Yeshua HaMashiach, we are forgiven and cleansed from all our wicked and evil ways. The Lord paid the price once and for all - the price that we had to pay. If we are in the Lord Jesus Christ then He has paid the price for us on the Cross and saved us. Hallelujah!
But for those who reject God's love and mercy of salvation remain under His wrath and judgement upon their lives for eternity - until they seek His salvation, mercy and forgiveness for their sins - He is so patient with all. The fact that people are still alive whilst rejecting Him is His mercy, love and patience because God's will is for none to perish.
Let’s remember and rejoice in that! How good, loving, patient and merciful He is.
Let’s persevere and not give up.
The Lord has got our backs, and He will not leave us or forsake us.
