God's Grace is Sufficient!

My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9

WALKING WITH GOD

God tells us that His grace is sufficient for us for life and in everything we go through because He is with us.

But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

I am learning and will continue to learn the grace of God! There is so much that I cannot comprehend, but I am seeking and growing in God and the knowledge of Him. Hallelujah that God will never leave or forsake us, but will continue to grow and teach us as our hearts are thirsty and hungry for Him.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 5:6-11

The Lord tells us what to do in His word above: to humble ourselves before Him and acknowledge Him, to cast our care upon Him, to resist the devil and know that the devil roams around to attack us. To resist the devil and be steadfast in God. To believe in God and not the lies the devil spews. The Lord’s word is life itself; it is transforming, beautiful, comforting, encouraging, challenging and convicting.

So much is going on in the world as it always has, I guess, and so much going on in my head and my circumstances as everyone else but God is my portion, my inheritance, my treasure, my rock and fortress, my Salvation!

By no means is my walk with the Lord perfect, far from it. However, God has whispered and comforted me to continue to walk with Him and not give up, because He has my back and all is well in the end. My story ends well because of my Saviour! I am paraphrasing here, but as Peter says, Lord, where do we go? Only you have the words of eternal life.

Simon Peter answered, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You (alone) have the words of eternal life (you are our only hope)
John 6:68

After all, He who began a good work in me will complete it to the day of redemption. He is the Author and Perfector of my faith. It is not I but God who saves me! Amen!

If it were up to me to uphold my goodness, which is like dirt in front of God by the way and if it were up to me to earn salvation by my own merit, well, let’s just say there would be no hope at all for a hopeless human like me, but God has saved me! He is my Hope!

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things, I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Phillippians 4:11-13

Nothing in this world can give us true hope for life here and life after we leave the earth. There is no hope in anything but God; there is no hope in ourselves, our fallen world, our family, our friends, our finances, our status in society, our careers, our good deeds, apart from God. All is utter darkness and vanity, as Solomon calls it in Ecclesiastes. Yahweh, Yeshua is our only hope and our salvation!

I have seen everything that is done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and a striving after the wind.
Ecclesiastes 1:14
“Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher. “Vanity of vanities! All (that is done without God’s guidance) is vanity (futile, meaningless - a wisp of smoke, a vapour that vanishes, merely chasing the wind).”
Ecclesiastes 1:2

I hate and despise my sin, as I should if I follow Jesus. I long, one day, to be completely renewed, free in body and fully obedient to Him. Free from this body of death, as Paul says, wow, how amazing that would be. That does not mean that I am not excited about this life and how God is working in and on me and using me for His glory! How He is transforming my heart and growing me in Him. It is such an adventure and joy to be with the Lord, even now when I cannot see Him.

One day, we will see Him face to face; what a glorious day that would be.

As the Bible says, even though we die when we leave the earth, some will be resurrected to life and some resurrected to death. Death is not just the notion we understand it to be, physically die, and off we pop from the earth, resting in peace in our graves, as I used to think, leaving everything behind. The second death is the eternal separation from the only Living, Good, Righteous, Holy God. That is scary and unthinkable! Thus, it is frightening, discomforting and sad to think that not everyone who dies is resting in peace, as people say when someone dies to comfort one another in funerals. Still, the truth is, if they died without Jesus Christ, they are not resting, but in torment forever, which is horrific to think about, but we cannot bury our heads in the sand and deny God’s word to us that warns us to flee His wrath and be saved.

Precious soul, if you don’t know your Creator, Yahweh, Jesus Christ, then seek and find Him with all your heart; it is the most urgent thing in your life. God in the flesh, Jesus Christ, who came, lived a perfect life, died for you on the Cross and rose again because He loves you and wants to save you. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and He will.

Let’s hold onto Him for dear life because God, Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach, is Life Eternal! He is our life, our salvation, our joy and peace, our strength, and He is our eternal rest in this earthly life and when we depart to be with Him forever. Hallelujah!

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom, declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:1-5
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:10-12
